The Re-Design

It has been ages since I’ve posted here. I hope everyone is healthy and doing well! I am sitting in a Starbucks, sipping on the sugar-iest drink I may have ever had. I’m in the middle of a life re-design, so what an appropriate time to come back to blogging!

So here’s my life update in the past few months.

I got married! My husband and I had an intimate wedding after planning for just two months (yes we are insane). It was a bit rushed due to his military commitments, but it was exactly what we wanted. I’ll blog more on wedding planning, dieting and how to handle the pre-wedding stress!

I quit my job! I am leaving the security of my job to chase something even more important- happiness! My 8-5 job leaves me with unmeasurable amounts of stress, anxiety and backaches! This was the scariest move. Planning a wedding in 60 days? No problem. Quitting a secure job that allows me to comfortably pay all my bills? Terrifying. What terrifies me even more is the thought of spending my life in a job where I am unhappy. Spending my days in an office filled with negativity, hostility and chaos is the short order recipe to unhappiness.

I came back to blogging! I am re-designing the goal of this blog. While I love the idea of helping people in their dating lives, it’s not something I’m focusing on anymore. I hope to re-design this blog to focus more on being a happy, confident, healthy person + wife!

I started trying to have a baby! Well, of course I can’t do this on my own. My husband and I have always seen ourselves as parents and just can’t wait to have a family of our own! This is our first month trying, so we are optimistic but realistic. This played a HUGE part in quitting my job as well. A big hindrance in baby making is stress. A big hindrance in LIFE is stress. Meditation, yoga and healthy eating habits have lowered my stress and anxiety hugely. I always think it’s odd when someone shares they are trying for a baby. The anonymity of this blog allows me to feel more comfortable sharing that with everyone.

For everyone who followed this blog as a way to read about relationships and the dating world, I hope you will continue to follow me on this new journey! It will be a journey even closer to my heart. I hope to connect with you all even deeper this time around ❤
